Best Cafes In Norwich

No33 Cafe

No 33 is an independent, family-run cafe, first entering the scene in 2006, gaining attention within weeks and haven't slowed down since. The food is Freshly prepared, homemade and always generously portioned, let's just say you will leave feeling full!

No 33 is one of my favourite cafes to visit in the city, with a relaxed, chilled vibe it's perfect for a lunch break or catching up with a friend. They offer a great selection of food from homemade cakes to a delicious vegan menu. The atmosphere feels fun and light, the staff are friendly and always happy to help.

Strangers Coffee Shop

Established by Alex Sargent and Samuel Maddocks with William Maddocks later joining the team in 2014. The brothers have spent over a decade learning about the industry and adapting skills and techniques to push their business as far as possible. The focus on the quality and ethics of the coffee source shows the passion they have for their brand.

Although I'm personally not a coffee lover I can appreciate the length they have gone to create a good quality cup of coffee. The relaxed vibe of this cafe is perfect for catching up on work, reading a book or simply getting away from the craziness of the city.

Tofurei

Previously known as "micro soya dairy & tofu production" on Pottergate, this cafe has grown from strength to strength. Known for their fresh, delicious vegan treats all made from tofu as well as introducing the UK to the pleasure of vegan whip-style ice cream. In 2017 they had the chance to grow bigger, saying goodbye to their old location and buying their current one on 10 st.gregory's alley.

Tofurei is a well thought out, confident, independent business. Its small yet cozy and gives a friendly, welcome, home-like feel. The staff are alway on top form, willing to chat and help with anything that's needed.

Bread Source

First launched 7 years ago in Aylsham and followed by a cafe in upper St Giles street as well as a stall on the Norwich Market, Bread Source has become a Norwich favourite. Placed within the lanes, amongst so many other independent stores, cafes and technically competitors, it fits in well. In addition to selling bread they also produce pastries, buns and sandwiches as well as a range of hot drinks.

Simple but effective, I love bread source's aesthetic, it feels cosy yet fresh and bright. From business meetings to student study's this spot is a perfect working space, it has that warm and comfortable aspect however still holds a work like environment.

Artel

Serving coffee, local craft beer, house made sandwiches and sweet treats are Artels speciality. Lively and fun, everything about this cafe will lift your spirits.

Ive only been to Artel a couple of times but seem to enjoy it the more I go, its a great place to meet a friend for lunch or to grab a drink between lectures.
